VIBRATION TESTING

The Vibe Lab utilizes a Spectral Dynamics Jaguar vibration control system to perform closed loop control vibration tests. Capabilities include sine sweeps, broadband random, sine tones over random, sine sweeps over random, narrow band random sweeps over random, narrow band random over random. Field data can also be acquired.

The Vibe Lab shaker system consists of a Ling DMA48 amplifier that is switched to drive a pair of Ling B335 shaker heads. One head is dedicated to the vertical orientation. The second head remains in the horizontal position and is outfitted with a 48" x 48" slip table.

The Ling B335 shaker system has the following specifications:

16,000 force lbs rms for random vibration tests

5 to 3,000 Hz effective frequency range

150 g maximum bare table acceleration

70 in/sec rated velocity

1.0 inch peak to peak rated displacement
